16- Tom Sundberg
Club: UTS Bats
Previous: Collingwood VFL (2010-13), Caulfield Grammarians VAFA (2008-13)
Age: 24
Position: Midfield
Analysis:
While some may debate where Sundberg sits in this list, you cannot dispute his credentials. A classy ball user in the midfield- Sundberg joined AFL Sydney this year after a successful stint with Collingwood in the VFL and before that Caulfield Grammarians.
Sundberg has regularly been in the Bats best when available this year including a near-best on ground display against Sydney Hills Eagles and is their most creative player with ball in hand.
Made the VFL Team of the Year and the Joseph Wren Trophy as Collingwood's Best and Fairest in the VFL in 2011, averaging 23.6 disposals, 11.5 contested possessions and 6.2 tackles across 13 games.
Arguably the best credentialled player within AFL Sydney (excluding Troy Luff).
The top 20 so far:
20 - Brenton Mumme (Western Suburbs)
19 - Sam Carruthers (North Shore)
18 - Lachlan Kilpatrick (Manly-Warringah)
17 - Matt Carey (Pennant Hills)
